About Me
Hi, I’m Katy — and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 15 years, supporting individuals through some of the hardest — and most transformational — seasons of their lives. My approach as a therapist is deeply informed by both my professional expertise and my own lived experience as a mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend, and fellow human being. Learning how to take care of myself as a human and a mother has been both deeply challenging yet rewarding and healing. There are so many demands on us in modern day life. How do we have boundaries that protect our energy? How can we find the courage to say no without that guilt or worry sneaking in? Id be honored to guide you along the path of figuring out what real self care looks like, and it’s not just a bubble bath….
Before I became a therapist, I was — and still am — a client. My life has brought me through many deeply human challenges:
Being raised by emotionally immature parents
Navigating childhood divorce
Processing emotional neglect and low self-esteem
Living with physical chronic pain
Healing from anxiety and depression
Grieving the tragic loss of a parent
Healing from maternal rage
Surviving and growing through postpartum depression and anxiety
Facing the emotional shifts of becoming a parent
Navigating perimenopause
These personal experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of what it means to struggle — and what it means to heal. They’ve also given me deep empathy for my clients and a grounded, nonjudgmental approach to the work we do together.
Lets Connect….
Why I Do This Work
Because I know how life-changing it is to be truly supported.
Because I believe healing happens in relationship — and that therapy can be a sacred space for re-learning trust, safety, and connection.
Because I want to help others realize that they are not broken and the power and healing that can happen when you grow in relationship with yourself.
This work is more than my job — it’s my calling. And it would be my sincere honor to walk alongside you as your guide on your healing journey.
